While the heat packed up in the capital city in the month of May, so did India’s most prominent designers and design enthusiasts at the Interior design exhibition 2022 India!
The four-day extravaganza, which is India’s luxury design week had audiences pouring in from around the country. Happening after two years because of the pandemic, the packed pavilions were proof that nothing could stop the surging crowds.
We also had our fair share of awestruck moments and fun at the India Design ID exhibit, lined up by furniture designers, carpet brands, lighting mavens, and many more.
Here are the Highlights of India Design 2022 , and a recap of everything we loved and adored!
Asian Paints stole the show
While the numerous exhibits by many brilliant designers were a sight for sore eyes, the Asian Paints colour next exhibit is where we spent most of our time.
Whether it was the beautiful installations or the larger-than-life-like display of wallpaper of the year, the combined experience had us going back again.
A culmination of touch, aesthetics, texture, trends, mesmerizing colors, surprise elements, and NFTs of course, was the Asian Paints pavilion at Design ID India.
It was great to see the design fraternity embracing the NFT revolution in their own way, making Asian Paints a trendsetter themselves!
Beyond Designs never ceases to astonish
Beyond Designs was on top of 1321DesignZ’s must-visit list at India Design 2022 Delhi! While we were looking forward to seeing the exhibit, we also had the chance to talk to the designer duo Sachin and Neha.
“One can duplicate the design elements, even the craftsmanship but how does one duplicate a curation?” says Neha Gupta of Beyond Designs in conversation with us about how duplicating designs has become a common practice.
The ‘Private Home’ Collection 2022 pulled many eyes to the booth. The extravagant ceilings, fine craftsmanship in the furniture, and the blend of art curation and interior design were everything we witnessed at Beyond Designs.
Rugs! Rugs! Rugs!
India Design week sees many designers, vendors, and enthusiasts every year but this year many rug brands occupied center stage.
Jaipur rugs, like each year, had a creative display of finishes. We surely enjoyed our time on the daybed!
Many new brands were also seen at India Design ID 2022, like Carpet Couture by Rashi, Ghar Ghar, Hands carpets, and more. If you were looking for a rug or carpet for your home, this is the place you had to be to find the perfect match.

Collaboration of materials by Vakr Studio
Of the many astonishing brands at ID, one was Vakr Studio. Their craft is a combination of materials, Rattan and concrete, the two most surprising elements to come together.
Their furniture pieces have been designed taking inspiration from the laws of physics and the nature of materials they experiment with. The studio follows a goal of blending old and new in their pieces, in turn creating timeless marvels.
Details at their best by Studio Smitamoksh
We could not have completed the list of the best at India Design Week without having Smita & Moksh or more fondly known as Studio SmitaMoksh.
Their premium collection of art made in teak wood was mesmerizing and received much appreciation from the visitors. Witnessing their art was experiencing the fish swimming, the forest humming, and the birds chirping.
Having a taste of the design extravaganza that is India Design Week is something for everyone’s palette.
Whether it is exploring the best in design, furniture, and culture or meeting the creatives of our country, India Design packs it all up in 4 days as the most amazing event.
