This 4 BHK Villament in Bangalore is the Timeless Look of the Scandinavian Style.

Aesthetics & Design of the Space Brings with it Bounteous Functionality & Generous Respite.

Bright natural light, white satin walls, and minimalistic look of this flat speaks of its style very loud and clear — “Scandinavian”

Completed by Aishwarya Interiors-Bangalore, this flat is home to a family of a young couple and their six-year-old son.

Framing the view of beautiful nature and liberal use of whites and wood, give this flat a Scandinavian warmth and an appealing feel.

When Laxmi Deshmukh, Designer at Aishwarya Interiors, was handed over the flat as a bare shell, she got just one brief from the client- keep the space warm, cozy, and simple with lots of mirrors.

After analyzing the choices and preferences of the client Laxmi could envision the space to be truly Scandinavian.

This 3000 sq ft double story flat is designed with the crispiness of minimalism and plenty of woods and whites which add solidity to the space.

“The double-height ceiling in the drawing-room is the most interesting part of the entire flat. It adds stunning expansiveness to the space and lots of natural light from the tall windows. This enabled me to elaborate my concepts of Scandinavian more strongly”- says designer Laxmi Deshmukh.

With every furniture piece especially crafted to suit the style, the brick cladding on the wall manages to create drama to an otherwise subtly curated space.

What better way can you envision the space to enfold which is as inviting as this?

Designer Laxmi was able to successfully draw form and functionality with utmost aesthetics and care.

This hand Knotted woolen carpet was an asset provided by the client and crafting everything around it was just so much fun. With every furniture piece customized to the taste and choice of the client, I can speak volumes about the amazing workmanship of my skilled team. Even the challenging Corona lockdown could not bring their spirits down.”

Master bedroom of the house was the epicenter of design. As the couple wanted a clean and clutter-free personal space we made sure to bring exactly the same.

Plethora of natural light and freshness of the air in the room was my starting point. Satin white wall color and bespoke furniture are designed to sprinkle the quintessence in the room” — says designer Laxmi.

Pendant lights hanging on side units with sliding wardrobe and built-in dressing unit saves space and adds more utility to the storage.

Laxmi further says that- “Designing storages is always a tricky game. While designing them in the bedroom I absolutely assured to not make the room look stuffy with furniture”

The under window sitting bench of the room is also an added storage.

Finished in PU white paint, the shutters of the unit look sleek and classy.

The furniture of the room is simple, light, and straight with round edges to avoid encountering any unpleasant corners.

As a bare shell, the open kitchen was making the entire living area unevenly outspread and hence was carefully demarcated with a glass partition. This allowed not only to create clean distinctions but also added more versatility to the cooking section.

Anti-rust golden knobs on the shutters and matt finished surfaces instantly catch your attention leaving you completely awestruck with the simplicity and elegance of monotones.

The guest room is marked with veneer finished furniture, floating cabinets, and Nordan Coffee Chairs cladded in green velvet to add dual-tone to the room.

Throw pillows, linen curtains and cotton duvet not only makes the room homey but also break the monotony of whites and wood.

The room of their son is majorly characterized by oak wood flooring and a bunk bed with PU paint finish all over and additional storage space.

“While designing this room the idea was to curate the space for the kid to play and relish the warmth of the floor in all weather conditions” — says designer Laxmi.

The family room of the house is a segregated zone for the couple and the kid to spend more quality time together without requiring to go downstairs.

Nevertheless, this room is simpler and subtle but very close to the family as it allows them to create some beautiful memories together.

I feel happy to see how the space has finally turned out irrespective of the external unfavorable situations. When You are sure about what you want, there is always a way to make it possible”– concludes Laxmi Deshmukh.
